Hilma - Tech for Impact is a non-profit company that is fully dedicated to helping the public. It was established in 2018 by Israeli High-tech executives whose dreams are to form Israel into the leader of impactful innovation addressing public and social challenges.
Hilma’s establishment was inspired by the IDF Unit 8200 and trains a generation of talented and ambitious young men and women to develop groundbreaking technological-social solutions with societal benefit.
The solutions of Hilma are designed in full accordance with the needs of education, welfare, and health and are received after great anticipation by customers, colleagues, and partners.
1
We develop innovative technological solutions for various populations, with an emphasis on underprivileged populations and individuals with special needs.
2
Creating leaders for the social-tech revolution in Israel.
3
Positioning Israel as a world leader in the development of impact technologies.

Learn and do - Hilma’s Model
The model of Hilma is based on the synergy between business, public, and third sectors.
We recruit the best young men and women volunteers through civil national service (due to medical, religious, or various other reasons) as well as from other quality populations. We provide for them training in advanced technological skills after which they dedicate two years of volunteer work - developing technological solutions to social issues.
Side by side with senior hi-tech executives, governemental partners, and third parties, we identify public and social challenges and utilize the capabilities of our volunteers to create innovative technological solutions. Thus, Hilma is becoming a leading technological development center for the public sector in the fields of welfare, education, and health.
Hilma’s developer community, most of which are grossly under-represented in the hi-tech industry, is joined by young men and women from around the world, who come to intern and volunteer in the impact-tech community.
