Small Money

Financial literacy for young people with disabilities and complex learning disabilities

We all know that modern life cannot be managed without a basic understanding of money use and budget management

But how do you manage a budget when there is no quantitative understanding
How do you explain that  additional expenses actually subtract from the budget and don't add to it

The Small Money app serves as a tool for special education schools and teaches young people with intellectual disabilities how to use their budget in a controlled and balanced way. This allows them to manage their own monthly allowance as they move out of the protected framework for independent living in the community.
Young people with cognitive disabilities and complex learning difficulties cannot manage their own budget. This is due to lack of knowledge about the subject and lower capabilities - limited quantitative understanding, difficulties in the organization and more.
The lack of basic financial literacy makes young people more dependent and limits their ability to lead independent basic life.
The problem is divided into two stages: the learning and education phase and then the implementation and the coping phase in reality.
